With more than 30 years’ experience in the amusement industry, amusement park safety expert Randy King applies his vast knowledge and business understanding to the analysis and causal effects that lead to the safe or unsafe operation of an amusement business. Randy is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), holds a Master of Science degree in Safety, Security and Emergency Management, and has been a member of ASTM Committee F24 for over 30 years. His amusement park and corporate level experience in Safety and Risk Management includes leading defense litigation teams, giving him unique skills in amusement-related litigation support.
Mr. King's unique perspective arises from his early experience in the amusement industry as a paramedic managing four different advanced life support medical facilities within amusement and water park facilities. Transitioning to safety management in 1990 Mr. King pressed this early experience into service during hundreds of accident investigations to determine mechanism of injury, root cause analysis, and management decisions leading to injury producing incidents.
In his roles as corporate safety director and safety consultant in the amusement industry Mr. King has trained and influenced thousands of amusement operators, from top management teams to frontline supervision, in safety performance improvement, safety leadership and safety culture creation.
Experience matters when selecting an amusement park expert to judiciously evaluate the facts of a case and fairly offer opinions of causation and sound measures to prevent injury producing accidents. Mr. King has assisted with over 100 cases as an expert, including both plaintiff and defense matters, within state, federal, and international jurisdictions.
